parking sensors.pain in the rear

help returned to the fold.sold one of my kidneys to buy a 53 plate disco.
reverse lights started playing up .checked bulbs fuses evevn fitted new switch. then noticed parking sensor light on dash not comimg on when reverse was selected. parking sensors will operate manually but no reverse lights. any ideas

Maybe faulty Reverse switch on gear linkage. You could just do away with the Reversing sensors and just put a big tow hook on the back.
