Standard 109 springs is thicker than standard 88 springs (an extra leaf I think), but you can also git heavy duty rears fer 109's. You can git allsorts, but they're the one's that spring to mind!

Just fitted a set to a series IIA, Its a better ride although i had hoped 4 more improvement. I would not get just any make, either rocky mountain or british springs, either from CP or direct from the factory. I dont think you need new shocks, the rocky mountain guy will say you do but his own landy has para with standard shocks so ......

Is is the best way to spend some $, guess that depends but i am glad i did it. Dont get the brit part, i have read to many bad reports

went to eastnor castle lro show and talked to a guy selling shocks, he seemed to no his stuff and very straight guy, told me i didnt need shocks, and he was selling just shocks at the show

www.llama4x4.co.uk 01938850382. he was selling set of 4 for 150 quid that would go with the extra length of a para.

He just seemed an honest bloke who new his stuff, i almost got some just cos i liked him. not looked at the web site. rough country was the make

:) Hi all on a rainy Friday.
Have decided to keep my Stage 1 109 V8 and use her for festival work. I intend to tow a trailer tent and will be fairly well loaded with dogs and gear and was wondering if any of you have parabolic springs fitted and what you thought as i've never been in a landy with them on.

Cheers, Nick.

I have TI Consoles in my 2A 109. I put in the full 4-leaf rears, which I may have been better off not doing. It is a bit over-sprung now and have to keep cement blocks in the back in order to make it a little less bouncy. If you don't need to carry a ton of stuff in the back, try a 2 leaf plus helper spring, or a full 3-leaf spring. that being said, it has taken my bone-jarring 109 and made it much more user-friendly to drive. I can do without the subdural hematoma.
