I have recently aquired a '94 Discovery that came with a Panasonic CD player but am wondering if it is possible to fit a multi changer
without having to buy a new sterio.

The cd unit is a Panasonic CQ-RDP113N and I have tried the Panasonic website but couldn't find anything about this unit at all.

Cheers, Kev627

Hi

You can find the full instruction manual for the Panasonic stuff from the Panasonic web site, your instruction manual is on there. Your unit is basically the same as the one that I had in my disco.

your manual is

http://techdocs.panasonic.co.uk/doc.../EUOT/CQRDP153N/OI/739736/YEFM284003_main.pdf

If it doesn't return your PDF file,
go to Panasonic web site panasonic.co.uk
download centre
manuals technical
product category = AV products
sub category = car media
model number then becomes a drop down list, just scroll down til you find yours CQRDP113N

but looking at the manual, it does not appear to have multi changer capability, title of document is

Removable Front Panel CD Player/Receiver with CD Changer Control
CQ-RDP153/RDP143/RDP133N
Removable Front Panel CD Player/Receiver
CQ-RDP123/RDP113/RDP103/RDP003N

Any way good luck

Hi, I also have one of these in my 01 Freelander. Have any of you ever had the problem where there is no sound, although CDs play (with no sound!). It was working fine then decided not to give me any sound!. It was playing a CD at the time and then just decided not to let me hear anything. I've disconnected it from the wiring loom, and when I re-connect it you can hear that's there's something getting through to the speakers as they give that tell tale sound. Any ideas?

What voltage/current are you getting at the loudspeakers? if none then a faulty amplifier may be, time for a new head unit :)

Operations manual at

Trouble shooting section of manual does not throw more light on the issue

but as a side issue
What model unit have you got?
I may have to prove I'm a yorkshire man
As if you are getting a new head unit, I would be interested in the removable front bit as my lights have gone out, may save me soldering in new LED's

obviously beer tokens involved but not to the level I found one on the web
