Painting my fuel tank

Hello my name is Simon and this is my 1st time here. I am in the middel of re-building a 90 and am striping it down to replace the chassis but while I save for the chassis a want to repaint my fuel tank. Do any of you know what to paint the bottom half with

dont think it makes a differance what paint you use tbh think i'd give it a coat of red oxide then chassis black or even hammerite if you want to get fussy

Just doing my Series tank - rubbed it down, then used red oxide primer and Frosts chassis black. Looks brand new!

hammerite smooth satin black looks best abd has some rust killing properties ,for all chassis parts etc

Has ony one used stone chip protector from hammerite

Yep - used it in my footwells and on the front bumper.

Can show brush marks, but dries matt with a hard coating - would be fine for a fuel tank, but use a red oxide primer first

Alternatively KBS do a treatment - not used, but has good reviews
