Hi all.
After spending quite a lot of money on having the Car sorted I have decided to keep it for another year or at least until the end of the MOT in 10months time.
But the Front Bumper, the Wheel arches plus the rear bumper really bugs me, they always look shabby so I want to Paint them to match the body Java Black. I"ll be doing it insections using Rattle Cans starting at the front one week, the wheel arches another week and so on. My questions are "Will it work? will it look ok? has anyone done the same?"
cheers

It would have worked if it was painted from new. However with 20 years of silicone based polish ingrained in the textured plastic, it's unlikely the paint will stick very long.

There have been some good results with pickup bed liner coating being applied, but the bumper plastic will need a good scrub with something like brake cleaner or alcohol cleaner first.

Thanks and yes I will clean it thoroughly and probably use some wet and dry to make a good surface. I have already bought special Primer specifically for this purpose so cross fingers I hope it works.
Will keep you informed.
cheers
