I am going to start tidying my 110 up on the weekend and was wondering if anybody could advise me what paint I should use on the bumper and rear cross member. Both have been painted black in the past but are looking scruffy. The lower doors are also starting to rust so Im going to paint them too.

Could somebody describe the proccess of wax oiling the chassis. Do I get the jet wash out and spray the whole of the underneath, and then rub it down using a wire brush, and then apply the paint.
Sorry for the sily questions, im just a mechanical novice. Thanks

Iremoved the bumper and used a belt sander to remove most of the surface rust once done I waxoiled inside it and painted the outside with smooth black hammerite. Not as good as new but it certainly tidied it up, still looking good 18 months later but rust is starting to show through again now, not a problem though I'll just do it all again, quite therapeutic really. Did the same to rear crossmember too.
