I'm looking to fit a softtop to my SIII 88..anyone has experience with the paddock canvas hoods? and what is the difference between the canvas ones and the 'mohair' ones from exmoor?

I don't know about mohair soft tops, but I have a good pair of mohair socks - nice and warm:)

Why not ask Exmoor trim if they'll send you some sample swatches of canvas and mohair so you can compare them?

I have paddock canvas one, its fine but as hughesy said it indeed does not quite fit. You have to love britpart one size fits nothing..

the only thing I know about paddocks hoods is a mate of mine bought one, and fitted it, and the first time it rained it shrank to the point where there's a 6" gap around the bottom, so the truck isn't remotely sealed, have triedwetting it to stretch it back but no joy, and paddocks were very unhelpful/rude and not interested in the problem at all, no replacement, no refund, so won't be going to paddocks for anything again unfortunately for them.

i wont use paddocks, ****e customer service and when they **** things up they give you the run around and deny everything, plus most of it is ****part...bunch o ****ers **** em

the hood fits nice and tight, BUT the rear flap is about 2" short so when it's wet i have a 5mm gap between the rear flap and me door. All the rest fits very nice. Weird!

Just got mine from All Wheel Trim...

very pleased with it as being canvas it will invariably shrink over the next 3 months or so, but as per their instructions it is supplied slightly large and as long as the bottoms are tied nice and tight should only shrink to a nice fit... if you leave the back and sides even remotely loose during the shrinking process then it will shrink from the point of least resistance and end up short.

Once shrunk then it will shrink no more (just like the old Levi shrink to fit jeans) - also may sound a bit nonsensical, but try to avoid it getting too wet too quickly - a longer slower shrink is much better than a quick one as it will put less stress on the fixing points
