P38a Radio Silence

Hi All,

I have read some threads on here about radio faults, but so far not found the solution to my problem.

Car is a 2000 model 4.6 Vogue, with the Harmon Karden 10 speaker stereo. There is no sound from the speakers. The head unit has been bench tested by FixMyRadio - no fault found. The SatNav unit has bene removed, to eliminate a spurious "mute" signal, with no result.

Any ideas as to where to look next would be greatly appreciated!

I understand that both nearside doors were repaired before I acquired the vehicle.

Welcome aboard......Tis indeed the amp. They range fromabout £350 - £500 depending on your dealer, unless you can get a second hand one, but I wouldnt count on it. I have been looking for one for about 6 months now.

Have you fixed yours yet Rob?

Definately the amp - my 2000 4.6 Vogue had the same problem. £430 from the main stealer fixed it.

been fine fo a couple of months,,, just gotta sort the head gasket now :doh:
