hi as the title suggests difficulty in removing air from system,do you just need to crack one injector,or bleed the clear pipe and the injectors,or injector.

Should be self bleeding, but what might work is, take the fuel filter off, fill it right to the top with no space at all, refit it and give it a try, you might have to do it again, then it should be ok???? worked on my Astra van anyway when i had this problem

But its easier to get to the filter though isn't it.... unless you got everything off already and you can get to the injector already?

yes done that seems better but still seems as tho i have air in system, normally goes but this is being a bitch,do they normally self bleed?

Why don't you just bleed it as described in RAVE? It really is not rocket science.

Hi Wammers I need to bleed my fuel system - at least I think I do - but cannot find the bleed procedure in RAVE, can you give me a clue re where it is?? I've looked in the workshop manual under BMW fuel system.... Sorry to be useless!!

Cheers

Jerry

As I have plenty of air in the clear fuel pipe and now a copy of RAVE I'll try it once I get the silicone leak off pipes.

Don't use silicone spill pipe, it used to be ok, but the **** chemicals they now put in diesel will make it swell up. Get proper 1/8" spill pipe from a factors, about £5.00 for a couple of metres.

Iv'e already ordered it off sillybay after read a recommendation on here.

Oh...maybe I'll just bleed the filter then for now as the leak off pipes arn't that old any how.

It will be ok for a while you just have to watch it. I use it on my plant running red diesel and it is fine, pump diesel makes it swell. Must admit i used to recommend it. But better to use proper spill pipe with the new formulas of fuel.
