Hi Guys

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on my window issues....

I sent my P38 2.5 DT in for MOT and while there I had the clutch changed and gearbox seal replaced. All good but once it returned the electric windows have stopped working!! They worked a couple of times and then packed up for good and don't work on any of the buttons, centre console and doors. I have checked the fuses and they all seem fine, does anyone have any ideas as I am struggling and don't want to go out an buy a new centre console switch panel if it isn't going to help my issues.. If it has any relevance occasionally I have the message 'alternator fault' come up on the dash at which point I turn it of and on again and all is good.

If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appriciated as Summer is approaching and as the heaters are stuck on hot, blend motor issues, working windows would be a nice luxury...

Thanks

Peter

Is the carpet wet in the drivers footwell by any chance? Otherwise it's most likely the centre console outstation. The only simple way to tell is with diagnostics.

Hi

The carpet isn't wet in the drivers footwell but is occasionally is in the passenger one, what diagnostic kit do I need or it is a case of going to a landy dealer?

Thanks

Seeing as you have just had the gear box out the switch pack would of been disturbed , just check they have plugged they connector on properly ;)

I did that on mine! Had the switch pack out and forgot to plug it back in. Easy done :)

Anyway, if you want to drive to Wigan, you can hook it up to my Nanocom and see if any faults are stored. I'm not an expert at using it or anything, but it'll at least tell you if there's anything amiss...
