Gents,

I'm looking for a Y pipe without cats.
If that already exists it may be cheaper than having somebody welding something over here.

If you know a source, please tell me.
Thanks

Florent

RPI sell them for £425, bought one for my 2001 P38, car deffinatley runs better with it and alos does have a nice exhaust note now.

Just got a reply from Janspeed. £524 + VAT for cat-back. They don't do up to the downpipes although I have asked if they could as a one-off and what it might cost.

I'm also looking at BORLA in the US. Still waiting to hear from them. Prices will probably be similar and its a top brand.

That's a disgusting price for a bit of pipe! You can buy new cats for less than that!

I might be interested too if anyone finds a cheap one...

Guy

It might be expensive but the fit is spot on and its completly stainless, when I was lookign around for a new set of cats you were looking at £300 for a pattern part and upto £900 for genunine ones.

Given the stories your hear about the quality of the pattern ones then i think the RPI ones are a good price especially as no one else seems to make any alternative.

I must admit I am not a fan of RPI sales picthes but they do have some good products.

Keep an eye on ebay, i found one a while ago from a trade seller and it was only £170, but in the end i just got the cats cut out and welded straight pipes in when fitting my rpi twn pipes, Sam

dont wanna look like a nob but what is rpi?? and can you tell me a tad moreabout ur pipe conversion... id like to decat and twin pipe my dse... the price for some of the kits are foookin dear so im gona have to make my own.

Rpi is a parts supplier for rover v8 and range rover bits, including some tuning parts. "RPi Engineering - Specialised Rover Engines" . Making your own decat is very easy, just need to cut out the originals, and weld in a piece of pipe where they each used to be. You could either find pipe off an old exhaust, or buy some cheap off ebay or an exhaust supplier. It only took me about an hour to do mine. If your just after a standard twin back box set up there only really cheap, and bolt straight onto any mid pipe P38 Range Rover Exhaust Twin Rear Boxes on eBay (end time 10-Nov-10 13:19:12 GMT) .
