Trailer wiring P38 internal external trailer wiring.jpg

It's easier to remove the trim panels when doing the trailer wiring as that gives easier access to the grommets in the extreme rear of the floor pan through which the trailer cables should be routed.

Thanks for putting that up Datatek, I might be able to sort out my caravan fridge wiring now and my even put a socket in the boot:)

Random: anyone else got a towbar on their RR but with no wiring?

Seems pointless to me.

Don't know if rules have changed, but at one time in daylight as long as the vehicle lamps and number plate were not obscured you could tow a small trailer without any lamps or trailer board. Most just wrote the number on the trailer tailgate to be on the safe side.

I do have wiring to my towbar but never used to tow anything, I have a 90 for the dirty work.
I keep the towbar on as just another level of rear end protection against the bleedin stupid French supermarket parkers.
