Hi every one.

My mother has just got herself a p38. Why I don't know haha. She has just traveled on the motorway and said that when she give it a bit to go up hill the temp gauge went up. It didn't boil but just want to make sure it's nothing to worry about to much.

Petrol or diesel? first check for either should be the viscous fan, they are a common failure item. also check the RAD gets hot all over. If you go the the Range Rover section, there is lots of stuff about checking the viscous fan etc.

It's a dse
Viscous fan is most likely then. With everything up to normal temperature, mind your fingers and stick a tightly rolled newspaper into the fan blades, if the fan slows or stops it's faulty.
If the car has aircon, I can give a mod to use the aircon fans for cooling.
Don't let it overheat again or it may end up with a cracked cylinder head.
