Having bought a pair of front air bags off ebay (originating from China) which burst before I had even attempted to test drive it (I know, buy cheap, buy twice, lesson learned, etc), I then bought another pair from a reputable and knowledgeable seller on ebay and which I then fitted.
The "Suspension reset" warning came up on the display, as it just would not pressurise. I drove the RR to the nearest garage (bump, bump, bumpety-bump) who informed me that they were unable to fix the problem. Great, thanks!
I contacted the ebay seller who was very helpful in his detailed reply and along with this video:

My suspension is now pumped-up. It is currently on the off-road setting with all the setting lights lit up, but at least it is driveable. Hopefully it will settle down (if I drive at a certain speed for a certain distance - the values escape me), or I hopefully can have it reset by someone who does actually know what they are doing :)

I could be wrong but I dont think it will lower from the off road setting without a leak. Need Diagnostics or RSW software to reset and get rid of the Christmas tree

You need diag. Need to clear fault. Guess you might get lucky if you disconnect battery for 30 minutes.

Did you leave the tailgate up while doing the bags or remove the delay timer?

If you drove with uninflated airbags, they may have been damaged.
The fault condition will only clear with diagnostics.

have you the "35 mph" message on dashboard?
No, oakey, that message is not displayed

Yes, as I thought. Well, I'm buying a new battery this week anyway, so I'll try what you suggest, thanks.
I left the a rear door open. The suspension did nothing for 10-12 minutes, then when I closed the door, up she went!

@Adit contact Datatek on here and he will sort you out with software and diag lead to read and sort the air suspension for a small fee.
Thanks Brian, I'll do that. I have seen similar items on ebay (currently in my "Watch list"), but would rather buy from someone trustworthy and recommended.

OK. They seem to be leak-free and no "dropping" for about a week now.
What do you offer please?

Grateful thanks for your replies guys, much appreciated :)

Thanks again chaps. i hope to be back in the U.K. next week, so shall try to get it sorted then.
By the way, does anyone know the correct ride-height measurements please? I used the search facility but was feeling somewhat frustrated with all the highly technical threads about sensors, blocks, diagnostics, blah blah blah...
All I would like is the perpendicular measurements from wheel centre to wheel arch at normal and raised settings, using that marvellous tool called a tape measure. As mentioned above, the display shows full height, including the light in the speedo pod, but it doesn't look particularly high to me.
Many thanks

There's a picture that @Datatek and @Saint.V8 have posted many times so it must be on here somewhere. Maybe the Technical Section under Wammers' post?
