You Know i been on this forum a while, and although i have not posted much I check it every day,

I have seen all the **** taking and the banter and the fact you need to wear a hard hat,

But the one time I needed help quick I got it within 10 minutes of posting, thank you all for taking the time to reply, and especially Mozz who I will meet tomorrow,

So Glad I joined, and I hope in the future I can help someone else

Well, Met the Famous Mozz Today on tesco car park, not only did he get the car started and sorted I have now got 3 working key fobs, and we had a good bloody laugh also, what a nice guy! And the stubborn bugger wouldn't even take any money off me! Cant thank you enough Mozz, you have no doubt saved me a fortune in the cost of recovering the car etc.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet you, and if your ever around wigan give me a call and I will take you to tesco for your dinner again!! (but we might park the Rangies around the corner!)

Can you pm me your email address so we can keep in touch!

Pete

For the record i work with water meter loggers which require gsm output. It appears that certainly tescos are rf hotspots. This means that whilst you will get a good mobile signal the atmosphere is so saturated that it can overload certain systems. I know that it is playing havoc with mercedes car alarms.

The alarm receives so many different signals it effectively overloads and resets and can engage the immobiliser. Seen several carted off carparks

Its not all places, or indeed all times of day. If you park facing away from the store may make a difference.

Obviously parking further from mainstore makes a difference too towards the edge of the carpark.

Issue we have is our units have quite weak aerial and go under the small meter covers. When we are there they get a good signal in the day, but it seems that some masts in less populous areas get powered down so when our unit tries to dial at 2am it fails. Right ballache
