hi guys fitted a steering box today but i can't sort out this ,
connect every thing but when i have wheels hard left /turn to get hard right but wont go that far just straight , changed steering arm position but cant seem to get it right .this is a recon part .
any help will help

The steering box only has limited movement left and right from it's centralised position. With steering box centralised drop arm should point straight ahead. See RAVE for how to find central position. Take care you don't knacker the rotary coupling if you have the steering shaft connected up wrong.

Then i suggest you buy the EAS cable from Datatek. For about £16.00 you get the software to work on your EAS a cable and a copy of RAVE. You are surely going to need it.

Like wammers has said mind your steering remove steering of box keep it Straight and remove drag link when the enging is running use the drop arm to turn box splines mark splined try and find centre count turns both way to centralise box splines then look for the nearest turn to aliment marks put steering wheel shaft on Straight and drop arm quick and simple way .

Ps if you centralise the box if you haven't disturbed the tie bar inbetween wheels if you put wheels straight put drag link in drop arm and it can only connect to box in its original position .

well would you believe it ,but first thanks for reply's.
i change s/box and could not align drop link no matter what i did i wasn't going to happen ,
so today tried again and there was no way it would line up.right hissed off,
then i took old s/box to bits ,did same to new one and could see by putting them side by side that the large groove's were half a turn out .so put old one in the new s/box and jobs agoodun .just goes to show always check first
