am thinking of changeing all 4 shocks on my 98 p38 with 128000 on the clock with brit part super gaz shocks has any one else fitted them and what do you think also is there any others you would recomend the car is used 80% on road 20% off road also what bennifits should i get by changeing the shocks both on and off road thanks

brit part not that good a quality of part i would recomend either on a budget monroe adventura shoch or billstiens

Just fitted Terrafirma std length shocks, really pleased, has given another improvement in handling, many say Bilstiens too harsh (and expensive). Had Koni on my classic, they were ok but the P38 is now better all round

Hi, i'm going to open a can of worms i presume, I have fitted britpart shockers to my p38, 24 month warranty, they have been on for 8 months now and no problems. 4 cost £69, not bad and have been used on and off road.

not a can of worms. my previous ones were britpart, as i recall £11 each and i got three years out of them. not too many miles perhaps but very hard ones because the best roads around here are rutted and bumpy like forest tracks. the reason i didn't mention it earlier is because he's asking specifically about the gas shocks which i didn't get. i hear their cellular dynamics are especially good vfm and with that 2 year warranty hard to go wrong. i only went for the oems because as i said they weren't expensive and i wanted to remember the ride and see if i liked it better.

edit:
ooh cr*p that was my 1000th post! so much for writing something epic and memorable. i also think i need to find some outside interests!:p
