Is the slot in the dash where the sat nav screen fits a standard double din slot or not??
P38 sat nav screen slot.

Others will know far more than me re the manufacturer supplied sat nav options, but the slot is certainly not standard double DIN. It's far shallower I believe, and I don't think a standard double DIN headunit will fit.
Exactly correct. Narrower and a lot less deep. The little cubby on models w/o satnav gives an idea of the depth - and directly behind that is the heater.
A double DIN unit would extend into where the clock lives and stick out about 4".
