P38A random electrical issues

I am sure this will be no surprise but I seem to have random volume control on stereo from either unit dial or steering wheel controls but not necessarily the same result from both! The sat nav has a mind of it's own but at least the hvac seems to work properly at today! I am guessing I need a dedicated diagnostic tool but which one for 2002 4.6 thor?

AFAIK, the Nanocom does not cover Sat-Nav or Radio.

I spent 30 odd years doing diagnostics on euro crap and none of that covered everything either regardless of cost! I always swore not to own something I have to plug in to fix but here we are (doh!)

Correct. I misunderstood the OPs request. I 'think' les Edwards at classic rides fiddles with oe radios a bit.
