Hi,icelandic here i'm a new member & after some advice please.I am looking to replace the shocks on my P38 to help it stop excessive rolling when cornering.I've been looking at Bilstein(gas) or Koni(oil & adjustable).Has anyone fitted these & are they any good? Many thanks

Hi, i fitted koni heavey truck (red)about 8months ago following advice from this site...they are great,as advised left them on the frist setting and there is a marked inprovement without it being to harsh... however i dont go OFF road much at all so i can only tell you about highway driving..

Shocks won't make a lot of difference to body role, you need to uprate the springs. Shocks simply control the rebound of the spring. Thats why they are called dampers or absorbers. They absorb or damp the energy from the spring keeping the tyres on the ground as much as possible. If you want less roll you need stiffer/ uprated springs.
