P38 relay box..hot

Is it normal for a relay box to get hot...i would imagine warm is normal but this one apparantly is hot to the touch..4.6 auto 1995.

Just one of several issues at the moment

NO! Burnt fuse boxes are a known problem.

Have to replace it if the fuse board is hot you can get all sorts of stupid things happening the p38 is renowned for misbehaving if the electrics are not right plent of posts on here worth a search

Better get one from Rimmers or the like, an EBAY one may have the same problem

If you can get under it look at the loom connecting to the fusebox for breaks and shorts. I remember I put in a new genuine fusebox once but didn't fully solve the problems until we had a look at the wires underneath.

If it has got very hot, the connectors underneath will need looking at to see if the connectors make a good connection.
