P38 Range Rover injector pump and wiring

I bought a 1996 P38 Range Rover a few weeks ago with a knackered engine. i'f replaced engine with one from a 1996 BMW 325td, engine had same injector pump code.
I'm getting diesel up to injector pump but it doesn't seem to be passing threw the pump (seems to be a common problem on here)

will bmw pump work with range rover ecu? or will I need to swap electrics of the top of the pump?
will I need the pump recoded to ecu?

has anyone have an engine wiring diagram for range rover they can send me?

Need to swap the electronics on the pump, the BMW isn't compatible with the RR ECU.....

The RR does have a sync code between the BeCM and the Engine ECU...but as these haven't been disturbed you should be fine.

Take a look in the How To section for Wammer EAS Compressor post as this has a link to the RAVE workshop manuals, in there you will find all the electrical schematics along with all the workshop manuals too...

thanks guys i'll swap top of injector pump, hopefully that sort problem. do the electronic boxes fail?

another wee question which relay controls the fuel pump

Wammers is your man for the Diesel Injection system....

I think it is relay 12 or 19, but check RAVE as this will tell you all you need to know about the wiring side of things....

The Engine ECU rarely fails.

I've changed injector pump for a range rover one, still nothing passing pump. hocked up to diagnostic tool and try a sync mate but both aren't connecting to ecu.

can someone please email me a copy of the engine wiring diagram for 2.5td p38. I've tried downloading rave and after a 10hour download it wont open .

As for the lack of connection, check the OBD socket, they have been known to corrode and wires break on the pins!

Check the 5 amp fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet as that the power for the obd plug

And check the whole fuse box for signs and smells of burning and that the connection from the battery is good.

If there was no power to the OBD socket he would not have the red light on the Syncmate.
