P38 pasenger door locked closed

Hi

My front passenger door is locked shut and will not open. Have managed to pri the door card away slightly to see inside. the internal door release lever is operating the actuator and the external door handle is operating it. There is no movement or sound of movement when remote fob is pressed. Wife is getting fed up with climbing over centre consul.

I would hazard a guess and say that the latch has superlocked and the latch motor has burnt out.
I may be totally wrong, with the price of scrap copper someone may have cut the harness, nicked it and replaced the door card whilst you were asleep.

as irish posted prob superlocked,lock can be removed by destroying it,there are threads posted,or you can remove rear door,protect pass. door paintwork with duck tape,use angle grinder to cut through outer part of striker plate.Use new hacksaw blade to cut inner part,doesnt take long with a new blade.You then have access to remove lock.good luck.regards
