Hi

Help please
I have a Range Rover P38 4.0 HSE, W Reg, owned now for Two weeks, yesterday when out for a drive, and having stopped on idle for about 10 mins, started overheating and red light came on, limped onto a garage and filled with water, started ok, went about a mile or so and overheated again, so threw in the towel and called breakdown recovery who brought us home.
Have today changed thermostat, when done re-filled and ran to temp went round the block twice, still ok, then ran again checked level of coolant, all fine, last check as due to go to freinds tonight, round the block again and then overheating again, any suggestions??????

Thanks

it could be air lock or hgf could be any thing you have to work trought it look at overheating threads loads of them. i would start with air lock fill up water turn heating on full leaving top off start up keep topping up with hot water if it stops trowing it out turn off put top on and give it a run goodluck and welcome j
