hello all
my problem started when i receieved my rr back from being converted to gas its a 2001 model rr 4.0hse running a romano gas conversion,when i had it back from the garage they said it had a low down mifire at about 800-2000rpm and the plugs need changing,replaced plugs @58k still missing replaced leads with magnecor still has the same problem the problem has only occured since the gas conversion any ideas really appreciated :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:
 
Yep, My Idea is take it back to who converted it and tell him to fix it before you take him to the small claims court to get your dosh and what ever it costs to get it put right at a main dealer back.


If they have been buggering about with the electrics without ensureing the electrical safety of the ECU they may have disconnected or connected something whilst the ecu is "live" and caused problems.
Give them the chance to fix it and then do what ever it takes to recover your costs.

If they refuse the chance sue em and scr** em

For example
If you are up for it you can always park a bill board outside the premises, or a news paper ad - telling the world they messed up your car and didn't fix it - see their customers leave in droves.
 
had vehicle back on the 20th took it for a drive it auto switched to gas approaching a incline on the m4 at about 70 and the thing died managed to coast to the hardshoulder waited for a minute fired her up and it wont go on gas only running on petrol still a bit lumpy any ideas

So did you find out the cause of the misfire issue ? Sounds like your gas installer needs to take another look at your car.Ask them how they set up your engine to ensure correct fueling - do they use an oscilliscope to monitor the oxygen sensors outputs.This really is the only way to do the job properly - few do,this is why there are so many problems with them.
 
just had a mate who's owned rr for years said it need adjusting on the fuel side running to lean its happening on the gas and petrol that will explain if the ecu's are talking to each other the fueling parameters need adjusting

Sorry, can you be a bit clearer - if it is running properly on petrol then and only then can you sort out the lpg.The gems system is continually monitoring and adjusting itself,via the oxygen sensors in the exhaust downpipes.If this process is not happening then the gas system does not have a chance of working properly.It needs checking out by someone who is interested and knows what they are doing.
