Hi,
my P38 with the omvl dream XXI lpg system has started playing up. Now when the car changes over from petrol to gas automatically, straight away it bleeps and flicks back into petrol, as though the tank was empty, although half a tank or even full. Even when the car is up to normal running temp, if i attempt to switch to lpg it will do the same. But if i switch the ignition off for a sec, then start again, it will change into gas fine (only when already at normal temp).

I heard lpg systems can have problems in cold weather, but it ran fine in the ice and snow at minus temperatures, and has got this problem in warmer temps.

Any help appreciated, otherwise ill just book it in at a lpg place and have it looked at and serviced, Sam

:welcome2:hi sam , it sounds as though the trims are out , a good service incl new filter .total cost £60.00 should clear it . i have heard latley that some contaminated lpg is around mainly the big supermarkets i.e. with the yellow logo ????? if there is no decent service places near you then pm me and il'l give you the details of the one i use in manchester. also you havent stated how long ago you last had it serviced i,e, petrol and lpg ?? hope this helps cheers mozz :):):)

The car was serviced in may, but the lpg wasnt serviced, i dont know when this was last done as i bought it last april. I usually get lpg from bp in blackburn, or shell on rossendale rd in burnley as its cheaper, but yeah pm me the details of any cheap or decent places you know. Where charges £60 for a service and trims setting? I havent enquired yet with the company who did the conversion on mine, lpg place in leyland, will give them a call tomorrow and get a quote, Thanks, Sam

It sound like the electronic control that allows the car to start on petrol and change to gas is faulty.

It works fine when the car is warm though, so could it be the control? If the car is started in the morning, and finally gets onto gas, then it will work fine all day, even if its parked half the day it will work fine in the evening, its just when its left overnight it seems to have a problem, Sam
