Drain plug is on the bottom, filler plug is tucked up out of sight on the rear face by the rear prop from memory.

Square half inch drive if I remember rightly for both, undo the filler first in case the drain-plug is seized, you don't want to drain what's left of the oil (Dextron II ATF) if the filler is seized!

Did you resolve the issue?

Data is correct by the way. VCU has to be locked and constantly loaded to provide drive to rear if no front prop is fitted. Wind down noise from 30 to 0 is almost certainly a diff pinion bearing.

I know this thread is old. My reason was this user is active and might update it first hand.

Would be nice if they would do that, many don't come back and update....

Pity as this is how we learn....

Many just come here, we give the the answers and well meaning help, then they are off into the ether never to be heard of again until the next problem, then they expect our help once again....

If we all just fecked off after asking a question, no one would be here to offer help....
