I have a P38 Range Rover 1994 4.6 v8 Auto.
When driving along, I am having constantly correct the steering (very small amount)
Recently passed MOT with no problems.
Does anyone have any experience of this and how to fix?
thanks

Front Steering Damper is GOOSED look under the front just in front of yer Diff you'll see a "Thing" that looks like a HUGE Shock absorber ... its Knackered

(bet it Wobbles like a good un when you hit a bump in the road .....) The Disco guys call it "DEATH WOBBLE" do a search on here fer that exact phrase & you'll be all clued up in no time

Check the damper first as Claw says, if that's ok check the steering box is aligned properly. When the wheels are straight ahead there are two marks on box where the steering wheel input shaft goes in, these have to be aligned. If all that looks good then it's a good chance your radius arm bushes are poo.

i'll tell, one bad front tire and/or bad alignment.swap ur front tires first if they are not directional "rotation",if no cured then i'd say have it aligned.

Had just the same, steering box service, track rod ends, steering damper and £400 lighter and no improvement, then the garage tea boy suggested swapping the tyres around - Bingo been like new since.
