Hi All
I am new to the forum and run a very early 1994 4.6 HSE which seems to have an issue where it starts fine from cold and runs ok maybe with a slight misfire but then when hot it starts ok but does not want to idle evenly , hunting and often cutting out again. If I do manage to drive it away it then seems to resolve itself. Any ideas would be appreciated. I saved this one from the breakers and it seems worthwhile especially now on LPG. Should say am looking for someone in the Havering Essex area who might have access to fault codes, found one for oxygen sensor but this has since cleared if nearby would be glad of your help. Cheers and an early Happy New a Year to all on the forum.

hi,have you checked the spark plugs, with it now on lpg it is hard on spark plugs.you can buy plugs that are better for running on lpg.Brisk plugs are good on lpg i believe.good luck.;)

Thanks for the suggestion it has new plugs though so shouldn't be an issue yet and sadly the fault applies when running on petrol only as well as LPG too. Am going to change the Ht leads next to see if it may be shorting out somewhere but wouldn't that effect the general running too? This only happens when engine hot after turning over and restarting. Will sort it out eventually I hope. The truck is 19 yrs after all! Guess I should be grateful she is still running.
