hi i have a x reg p38 range rover with a 4.6 in it when engine id under load going up hill about 2000 rpm there in like a pinking noise / tappity noise any idea what this could be thanks chris

are you using cheap fuel? could be pre ignition

no its shell what could cause pre ignition ? could it be tockers that have more play than nessary in them ?
