ok, just thought I had to restart the eas so did the ignition but not the software each time. Will keep trying . Is it best to alter the idle 1 increment at a time

Tried again, but tried a different usb port , then used that comm setting for that port, used your settings and yesss, reset it.
Had a minor prob with both the loading height light and the normal light on ,but with no "up" arrow illuminated on the dash. Let it run for 10 minutes with the door open and it is back to normal.
Thank you everyone for your help :)

I assume that you cleared the faults while you were in there.

If not, then the system will probably fail again quite soon - it doesn't like having any faults stored.

I assumed , hitting the unlock eas button cleared the faults, do I have to do anything else. The warning has now gone and its driving normally.
And thanks again everyone , what a wealth of knowledge you guys here have.

Pretty sure the faults stay in there until you clear them. You need to click Read faults and then there should be a clear faults button.

Then you click Unlock EAS to reset the unlock the EAS from it's fault state.

If there are still faults logged then they will trigger a fault condition again sooner or later, but at least you know how to reset it if it happens!

Just one bit of advice to those of you who get this non sync issue- make sure you install .netframework software and also the correct driver for the serial to USB adapter. I spent hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't sync once.
Hope it helps...

just read this thread looking for a solution to a similar problem with the rsw solutions software.i was getting allsorts of dodgy readings and faults, seems mine is not synced with the ecu i will check again tommorow after trying to reset it all.
