p38 dt injector pump leak

Has anybody experienced their injector pump leaking? I have just noticed a big puddle of diesel underneath my 1995 2.5.dt it seems to be dripping from the injector pump but i cant pinpoint exactly where it is coming from. Possibly from the little cap that it held on by two star drive screws on the lower edge on the side of the pump. Any advice greatfully received.

Check the Shut off valve switch at the back of the injection pump. That's where it usually starts to leak. Easy to replace.

Have you checked the injector leak off pipes for leaks????

Just had mine replaced.. not cheap... the seals went and looked like the previous owner tried to seal up with gasket sealer.. temporarly it worked.. then it started to leak on me..

£550 for a recon pump plus £200 i paid to get it fitted! could of got a cheaper 2nd hand one, but rather get one with a warranty
