Hi all

yesterday was checking the car over prior to my trip to France and discovered the radiator coolant tank was empty so toped up with just cold water and looked under the car no leaks at all.

Today took the car out for about a 15 mile run and checked again tank empty the temp gauge only goes up about a third of the way so running just warm.

Never had any overheating probs the engine have always run well etc.

so any thoughts please and should i take it away will do about 500 miles with the prob and just keep topping up and a 2 liter water can in the boot etc.

yes drivers side carpet in the front wind side is a little wet, where do you think the leak is coming from ?

theres a detailed section on o-ring change on rangerovers.net.having done mine a few weeks ago i can say the job looks alittle daunting,it is a bit fiddly but once done you wonder what all the fuss was about.

hello tony i removed the necessary panels,and the hevac control the night before and done the o-rings the following morning.the only problem i had was gaining access to the phillips screw that holds the o-ring clamp on,the air ducting is in the way,some people say cut it in half and re-attach with tape after the rings are done but i managed to get to the screw with a extra long screw driver through a drilled hole in the panel.i think first time been carefull 3 hours.now i reckon i could do em in an hour or so.any questions please ask.best of luck craig

will give it a go next weekend maybe start removing the panels this week in the evenings if dry after work.

will let you know how I get on approx how long was your screwdriver to get at the o ring screw will see what i have and maybe borrow one if needs be.

many thanks to all have bought the o rings of ebay for £1.75 so lets see how I get on.
