p38 diffs

hello guy and girls, can some one tell me please if the front and rear diffs on the p38 are interchangeable. landrover say all the front diffs are the same despite what engine they have fitted but are unsure weather the rears are or even if i can put a front diff in the back. thanks arron.

I'm a long way from my parts manual, but have a vague recolection that you are being told the truth, possibly even that front and rears are the same.

What are you trying to do anyway?
