At least they haven't said they will do it without knowledge of the job. It's a big job that immobilizes the car and involves a certain amount of time. I've not done mine yet but need to so at some point even after 270k but I know it's going to be an event to say the least

You and many others. My mother is in her eighties with many issues and yet on the balance of risk I still advised her not to have it, especially when they keep trying to give it to her every 6 months.

I bet most garages would just swap it out. FIP refurb is above my grade for sure.

Just got the FIP done nicely, too. I sold my engine hoist, too after I rebuilt the series engine.
Tempted to have a stab at this job. Its farting on taking all the auxiliaries off that gets me down.

It was in reply to your buying a new rad, a new core is fitted and any repairs to the fittings, usually cheaper than a new Chinese radiator

I looked at the stats regarding the vaccine. GSK technology known to cause blood clots. MRN never before used and testing rushed. Limited effectiveness in both cases. I refused, told the doctor if my time has come to die, I would prefer to die of the disease rather than the cure.

I, unfortunately, had two shots. The initial & the booster. I did initially refuse but it turned into a cult that you had to have it so I stupidly went along for both shots.

The timing chains can be renewed in situ but you do need a good 22 mm socket and about a 2 meter bar to get the nut undone on the front pulley and i use a bar to hold the crank rather than just rel.y on the timing pin to hold it

the FIP is quite easy and there are a few videos on u tube showing you how but you do need some special sockets and a impact wrench to undo the screws.

talking about injections i am just going to get a rabies inoculation becaue im going back to Australia via Ethiopia, Madagaska Reunion Dubia and Singapore. Ethiopia is one where rabies is high risk. i booked in for a consultation and got a phone call a it was cancelled because their computer system was down and every thing stops because they cant work without t.hem remindes me of Little Britton (Computer says NO )
