Hello,
Happy new year to you all. Recently bought another P38, which wasn’t running when purchased. We have managed to get the engine running now, my friend had his snap on computer and power gun thing which he put a live feed into the fusebox and got the ECU working through a fuse and a relay, all far too technical for me. He couldn’t get the computer to pick up the ECU atall until he put power to the relay. First port of call is going to be to change the fusebox as I have read that it often goes wrong. On the key as it is, the radio and fog lights and cruise control and air suspension will not work, nor the heater controls, the dash is lit up fine but with no glow plugs, until we put power to the relay, the glow plugs will then work but still no EAS etc. The question is, are the DHSE and DSE fuse boxes the same? Do they change with the year (this is 51 plate) also do the fuse boxes differ from manual to automatics? The P38 i have is a DHSE auto, the spares vehicles up the road from me are manual DSE.
