I got a dark metallic red 2001 2.5 dhse autowith 106k and i love the color i think it suits the car and it dont miss a beat

Personally I like the red P38's and I should think they are alot easier to keep clean than a dark colour like the Oxford Blue colour I have on mine. After a few rainy days mine looks filthy and needs a good clean.

should have noticed in the pics, looks like its run into the back of another car, just follow the line of the bumper under the grill and under the drivers headlight. all the slam panel was rippled too. obviously the dealer was saying oh its just a nudge or a bollard - yea right! but no movement on price at all. easy a £1-1.5k repair
yes it was one owner, but generally looked like it had done the 145k in a supermarket car park! scuffs galore! another £600 to the dent man!
everything worked as it should and lots of bills for new bits and pieces (expected at that mileage) but the inside was just too grubby, seats and dash etc can be cleaned but the roof liner and pillars are impossible to scrub up.
I'm having to look at dealers for the time being as i haven't sold my car, if i do, i can widen my search to include private sellers.
the search continues....

I remember when I was looking to buy my P38, they all look so clean and shiny in the photos don't they? And we're so willing to believe that the price is so low because its a bargain.
I went to see one which was about the same price as this one, although a 97 model, with roughly the same mileage, and the interior looked like it had hosted a children's birthday party in it, blue ink everywhere on the seats and carpets! The dealer was acting like that was normal. He also confirmed it had had 3 owners, funny that because an HPI check confirmed the next owner would be the eighth!

A lovely colour. Double the mileage of mine and £1K more. AND a filthy diesel. I keep getting mental images of barge poles
You are just a complete fruit loop to be honest. So what if its a diesel, stop bashing them, just because you wanted a V8 that was your choice.
Why do you actually feel the need to let everyone know you bought a petrol one and that you think the diesels are rubbish?? Does it make you feel better inside or something??
Im sure you would be glad of one when your broken down on the side of the motorway with a slipped liner (which WILL happen eventually).

Will you stop to rescue 'Mud Flap' or shall I...?? nah, sod it, let him wait, it'll be cold, wet and windy on the hard shoulder - much warmer inside our diesels....
He probably wouldn't want to wait the time it would take you to get there

I could'nt disagree with you more i got mine 4 months ago and paid £8000 for it. with full service history 2001 dhse auto 98k on it when i got it so they are out there just got to be patient

I could'nt agree with you more if i tried on the comments you've just posted. They're all boasting on how good the petrol is and how good they are on L.P.G but no one mentions about the big fook off tank in the boot or nowhere to put the spare wheel so that you've got no space either way. Yes diesels might be a little bit slower but they're a lot more reliable. I've had a V8 and would never have another. As far as i'm concerned they're rubbish. If Range Rovers had that much confidence in the V8 they would never have offered a diesel alternative to such a top end 4X4
