P38 bonnet vents

Learned something new today about l322's...as I sit here eating my apple and cabbage soup.
The heat that comes out the vents after a run is better out than in say the already brittle wires and hoses. The vents are ugly and don't suit the lines but if I get more motorway miles out of it, who cares.
If i did, I would be more worried about the engine fumes and gasses coming out the bonnet vents and being forced into the passenger air ducts.

There shouldnt be any fumes and gasses coming out from the bonnet !

So if you have a LPG leak it's best to fit vents to get rid of the smell. I think i can think of a better way of doing that. How about fixing the leak?

Light a smoke and contemplate getting it fixed ?

Where people are going wrong is having all that hot nasty fluid in the radiator leaking heat into the engine bay.

Drain it out for gawds sake and your problem with be solved

To reduce temperatures under the bonnet, one could always turn the engine off and remove the key from the ignition when going downhill. particularly useful when towing heavy loads.

i prefer just not using another vehicle, The p38 never ever gets above halfway on the temp guage that way.

There's a vessel at the back of the car. There's fuel in it. This goes to the front of the car where the noisy bits are. The fuel has a certain calorific value. When burnt in said noisy bit it creates heat. In the noisy bits house. From the engine or from the radiator.

Providing the engine is in proper working order, no HGF issues etc it doesn't matter. Old engines,whatever.

One of the things manufacturers always do with new vehicle testing is take them to extreme climates, hot and cold. So even if you're running lpg in a temperate climate like ours it isn't going to be a problem.

Sorry to say but if I went to look at a car with a view to buying it and it had this sort of mod it would be a no no on two counts.

One, overheating issues then?

Two, the cars just lost value.
