P38A P38 Battery (Again)

I know this has been done before and I have even taken part.
Most people recommend (me included )the Alphaline 1000 CCA from Battery Megastore but this does not appear to be available any more. Anyone got a suitable alternative?

OLDHAM think its642 1000cca 120ah and the terminals are in the middle

Alphaline has been rebadged as Hankook - I bought one last week from these guys which fitted my P38 just fine, and arrived less than 24 hours after ordering (I can't remember if I paid extra for next day delivery or not)

yep been using them for around 10 yrs now, just find biggest cca that fits in yer hole etc nxt day del as well...

and they deliver up here whilst others dont

aye the sassenachs are nay scared o the wall!

+1. Called Platinum these days and sold as 642X, IIRC. HTS spares used to sell them for about 100 quid.

Hankook from Battery Megastore is the replacement.

Fit one of those with a modern alternator putting out 14.7 volts and it will not last long.

I was just meaning they do all types in house, that fitted to my series 2
