P38 Backfiring badly on LPG at speed

Hi
My 1996 4.0 P38 is really flat when on LPG and only slightly better when on petrol. Once you get up to around 65mph (and it takes ages!!!) it backfires quite badly. Any thoughts on what might be going on???

Mass airflow meter , plugs and leads , coil packs.?????????
