Evening all Iwandered of about 4 years ago and bought a supercharged l322 which has been brilliant put nearly 80k on it etc etc but today went out into the garden and put a battery pack on my old p38 - I replaced the head gaskets about 3 years ago then left it - and she started and ran beautifully airbag fault suspension locked bonnet catch showing open when closed interior covered in mould roof lining touching the seats and no wipers - odd that one - and a knackered battery so have decided to restore her to glory will keep you all posted how we go should be fun
First thing will be to buy new diagnostics as last lot went to a forum member on here still all the usuals or is there a new kid on the block I should look at

My biggest problems after a long layoff we're corrosion on copper. Tps scrap starter solenoid scrap Clarion cd changer scrap engine wiring loom scrap cam sensor scrap. Everything else was fine

Wonder if a charged battery helps protect against that? Or maybe a discharged battery made it worse? Trickle charger might help in the future.

The battery was disconnected. Taken back to Halfords and exchanged for a new one before rebuild! Copper corrosion just happens over a couple of winter's I guess. The tps is simply a copper strip but mine stopped making contact on the most used section over the layoff. ( Not catastrophic but messed up auto gear changes)
PS these are only available used in the UK(no point) for gems. These need to be obtained from the us.
