P38 Ambient Temperature Sensor Help....

Hi,

I have recently installed a new Ambient Temperature Sensor (pricey cone shaped thingy). As I broke the last one in while getting ****ed of with a oil cooler leak......long story!!

However, it now read minus 40 degrees on the AC Screen....

Any Ideas??

Clever people will be along shortly however......maybe it needs reseting via the brain. Interesting as it's the only thing on a 38 that i've never heard about being replaced....until now. How much for one of those?

Nick,

It only needed replacing as i totally broke it into 2 piece!!

New one was about £22 inc P&P from lrseries.com

Problem over thou, it sorted itself after about 5miles, fingers crossed it says working!!

Better luck than me, display kept reading anything from 10 to 25 degrees for the outside temp (when it was around 5 or 6), got a new sensor and fitted it (what a pain) . display still reads whatever it feels like, a mechanic mate said its probably the control unit thats faulty, price 150 - 450. Oh how I love Range rovers.
