P38 Air Suspension Not Starting Up

The compressor is relatively new, and will run if forced by lynx. It seems that something is stopping the compressor
switching on. I will go and check it in the car. Which two coloured wires do I c?onnect

Do you know i don't know why i bother at times. Read the bloody write up in tech archives and follow the check methods.

If you had said there was a bloody write up in the tech archives I would have looked.
I must say I don't care much for your attitude .I can manage with help from others or I eventually find a repair myself.
I was on the understanding that all on here wanted to give friendly advice no matter how many times you have to repeat something.
We are not all as smart as you are!.

I did . What does post #14 say? You got friendly advice and totally ignored it. You won't get anymore.

I always take good advice, I have never ignored yours, in fact you have helped me on many other
occasions to which I am very grateful and solved the problem, that's why I come back to the club. but I did not expect a smart arse
thinking he is the only one who we have to bow to. No need to bother I do not need your help. I would
rather speak to someone who is polite like Grrrr or Datatek who I am sure know just as much as you.

Ok carry on, if you had taken any notice of my advice you would not have asked the stupid question that got the terse reply. Sometimes people on here do not help themselves. So you will rely on others who you think know as much as i do. Good luck with that one.

I teach people how to use a computer and they ask the same question over and over again.
But not like you I can stay polite no matter how many times they ask.
Looks like you think no one knows as much as you but there are.
Anyway lets stop this silly bickering like two children and don't bother to reply

You were given specific information on where to find details that would enable you to overcome your problems. You chose to ignore that advice then ask a question that you would not have needed to ask IF you had taken notice of that information. There were people who posted absolute drivel in some cases, well meaning drivel but drivel never the less. If you wish to listen to others rather than I, so be it, but take time to consider from where those people gained their information in the first place in many cases. You will get no further advice from me on any subject.

Um, silly question, but isn't there the possibility that your system is up to pressure anyway?

And your valve block/drive pack isn't playing the distribution game?

Or haven't I fully got the story right - not for the first time I might add:(

Just tried without diagnostics plugged in. The first time I switched the ignition on it said "Slow 35 mph".
Then on more tries it did not mention 35mph just the orange light with the arrow underneath.
The lights on the height switch work when I try a different height, the lowest stays on but the third one up
just keeps flashing.
As Wammers said, no air pressure. Thermal switch may be the culprit. Assuming your re-built valve block is put together correctly.

The air tank is completely empty. The lynx does open all the valves and it says all are working correctly. and no faults showing. it will also start the compressor.
I have had another look today after buying a multimeter, and found that there is no power going into the compressor, checked the relay and it is ok
Compressor works when I put feed to the wires on the connector, but no power is on the female side of connector. I have sent for a eas unlocker, should be here tomorrow or Friday
I shall be testing the pressure switch and also the temperature switch now I have a multimeter.

Master fuse 2? Did you carry out the checks as outlined in tech archive?

That is the one I have sent for, I only needed the cable as I have the software, I loaned it to a guy who drove over it and brought it
back in pieces. No problem he is paying for the new one. I tested the pressure switch with the multimeter and it is a closed circuit
between terminal 7 & 9. I will try the eas unlocker tomorrow if it comes ( should have been today
.) On the lynx I could only manage to test the
vales and the compressor. I think you can check the ride height but not sure.

The easunlocker must have done something ,as the compressor starts when I turn the ignition on.
It has plenty of air pumping from the compressor ( I can't stop it with my finger ).
I ran the engine with the compressor working for just under 10 minutes, but the car will not go up..
