Make one of these from an old paint roller. Easy to remove clips then.

The original question was does the rubber bit fir both classic and P38 and I am sorry I dont know but I suspect they will be the same.
Not sure if it will be easier to change just the rubber in sub zero temp, Not as stiff as a tyre but possibly less malleable at low temp I would recommend changing the whole thing.

Had an issue with the caps coming off or leaking in the past few years. Also, they're not worth the expense compared to Dunlop as the ride is no better so not worth the risk. Gen 3 are worth it but only if you can grab a set at the right price.
I have one on Arnotts and one on new Dunlops. The big plus with Arnotts is longer life expectancy, Dunlops are 8 years 80K miles. There is a difference in ride but it's very small. Gen III's are not worth the money for road use as the greater articulation they allow along with other mods will never be used.

I have Gen 3 and the ride is definitely better on and off road - plus they're built to a much stronger specification. I wouldn't want to pay the prices they are asking though.

Mine are Dunlop's, 2 year old rear and 1 year old front and given the state of Russian roads.... but do have to say that since old Vladimir took over Crimea a few years ago the road situation has improved vastly but that aside the ride is fine and they cope very well with the pot holes and unmade roads that we have so no complaints from me for the price and when i am here they do have a hard time.
