Hi all, I have a cracked/leaking air-con rad, top left corner of the rad has a nice yellow/green stain. I've undone the pipe unions and the threads are ok.

Now for my question:

I didn't remove the unions/pipes all the way due to time, are there 'O' rings sealing the pipes if so what size are they, or do the pipes just rely on flaired flanges, please...

I have a 95 2.5 DT Manual

Any thing else I should change while I'm at it??

Yes there are "O" rings fitted. The new Condenser (Rad) should come complete with them. If not, they should be available from a LR parts supplier for not a lot of money.

You can remove the Condenser but make sure that you seal the open ends of the pipes to prevent moisture and dirt etc. getting in the system.

I've located a new condenser locally on the net but the supplier has closed for today, so I will have to collect it on Monday hopefully fitting it in the evening, depending on the weather. I asked just incase I had to supply the 'O' rings.

Most of the Condensers that are available as an aftermarket item on Ebay seem to come complete with the "O" rings and a small amount of UV dye.
I will post the part number of the "O" rings later just in case the one you are getting comes as a bare unit.
