P38 4.0 ticking noise

Ok Ok I probably deserve this but..... I decided to sell the P38 4.0 1996, and put it on a mates lot. I left it there for a year, and no takers. No surprising considering the cost of fuel. Anyway, I have decided to rekindle the love affair, and yup....the SRS warning light is now showing and a ticking noise from the engine (sounds like a tappety tick). I gave her a nice run today 120 kms or so, and gave her a wash. I will give her a nice service and speak to her in loving tones.

Any ideas about the ticking? J

it sounds like you have a sticking hydraulic lifter mate, try an oil change and a good run .
