ive done everything up till the Center gearbox cooler adapter.
Is this the thing sticking out with blue protective casings?
Yes there are two pipe fittings at the very bottom of the rad, one is central and the other is at the power steering pump side. If you try to lift the rad the conter one will catch on the fan. Cut that one so the threads are taken off.
I'm not sure if the adapter will unscrew??

probably :D

Just gonna chop it off with a saw :D shouldve done that almost in the first place…

Atleast my dhl package with all my fresh pulleys and ac tensioner comes soon :)

By the tough job i assume it is heavily overdue on service on drivebelts and pulley bearings.
I could have brought them with me in my hand luggage.;):D

just nearly got the saw down there...

I am going to buy a drill (milwaukee) and sadly they don't get sold in stores around my area so i'll haf to order one.
Get some proper drill bits and finish up the tool and ofc update when i get my viscous off.

May take years.
;):D

Does a junior hack-saw not fit?

Regarding the gearbox cooling adapter thingy at the bottom of the radiator, this does not unscrew.. theres a small nut on it which apparently if you unscrew this just a tiny bit coolant does leak out.

Im abit over halfways sawing tru the waterpump shaft. (Used up 3 saw blades, and stores have been closed at the worst timings so couldnt get new ones)

good thing is i got my milwaukee tools, sadly my right angle impact has a bad sound in reverse so had to send it back :(

I think my rangie is up and going tomorrow.
If not later today if i get home early.
I bet its gonna be a blast getting the remaining shaft out of the fan clutch nut when its off :D

edit: the gearbox adaptor is loose inside the radiator or something. When nut is off you can move it around but didnt figure out how to draw it out..

My god you’ve been struggling  I had same sort of issue but not this bad. Usual issue is lack of copaslip when it was fitted, wonder if yours was loctited on?

(Pack of) hacksaw blades, 2 pieces of wood strapped around end as a handle? Will get in most places.

i have quite a similar tool as the one you are describing. Works fairly ok but blades get dull so fast due to not being available to fully use its whole length. Quite thight down there but im over halfways ;)

btw, i managed to get the tool working, had a helping hand holding the pulley and i smacked the wrench with a hammer, no movement at all  so even with the tool working wont come off.

The rangie will hopefully be ressurected later today if i got time. If not tommorrow perhaps.

might need a new blade or two tho for the saw.

But yeah, this viscous fan, god damn why is it such a bugger :D im totally going to coppa slip it! I wont even wish my biggest enemies would have such a stuck fan :p
