I've done the airbags and they are not a difficult job as long as you've got a logical brain and a couple of good jacks.

Can't comment on the clutch as I only take on jobs that I can do single handed.

Have you considered buying (even second hand) the brake unit? I know, I know, brakes, second hand bits etc. etc. but have you thought of asking on here if anyone else is breaking a Rangey? Then there's the specialist breakers, some of them guarantee their bits.

Lastly, TEN GALLONS of petrol. We all know that these can be a bit heavy on fuel but that's driving them not starting an insurance claim.

thankyou for your reply,i will buy new on the brake module,it is peace of mind for it is not just me in this vehicle.
i take it you would have to drain the air out to do the airbag suspension safely,and put the vehicle on its lowest setting?
the clutch i may well send it to the garage,and i expect to be charged around 400 pound,but having saved money elsewhere this shouldn't be too bad.

Before you touch your airbags talk very nicely to DATATEK and ask him if he could email you his idiot's guide. It's what I used and it was exactly what it said.

The only extras that I would add are;
Have two good jacks and good axle stands before you start.
Buy replacement clips (they're pennies), if you don't you'll have one snap on you.
Do one corner at a time and thoroughly check your work, perhaps even a drive, before you move on.
Be prepared to use a bit of force to remove the old bags, have a crowbar and even a lump hammer ready which brings me back to the good jacks and axle stands . . . .,

I would do all four bags myself and at the same time a valve block re-build and pump re-build. I would bet you all your brakes need is a new accumulator. Oh and then look at the cooling system...

NEVER replace 3 airbags, just the rears or just the fronts may be accepatable if short sighted, replacing one front or rear could affect the handling and the other one of the pair will shortly need replacing anyway.
