P35 Gearbox auto only reverse

hey today i was driving my car normally i have 1997 p35 rangerover and all of suden the car stopped luckliy i was at said of the road to cut story short after i got it home i found out it dont have gearbox oil so i bought oil and filled it but yet it only goes to reverse gear it dont go foward at all any help appricated thanks

No oil in gearbox = gearbox cooked, now you have put oil in is the level correct per the service manual. Have you tried to pull away in 1st?

clutch A first clutch you come to behind pump housing ,stand box upright remove t/c remove bell housing and pump housing check clutch without stripping pack black burnt brown good if next clutch looks good just change front clutch as others you cant see will be okay no tools needed apart from 17mm socket for bell housing ,you can get parts for clutch seperate ,i could supply
