Hi,

can anyone point me to causes of a P1110 code on a FL1 TD4?

The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor either shorted or disconnected, is what I have listed.

The type and location of the sensor on the TD4 depends on the year, but is more easily determined by whether or not you have either 2 or 3 turbo hoses.

Later models - the 3 hose ones - have a temp sensor in the middle of the long hose.

What symptoms are you getting?

Singvogel.

Thanks for coming back on this. There was one entry in the ECU for this yesterday but I don't think it is related to the problems I am having when the car has been sitting for a few hours and cuts out when first turned over then starts and runs ok. Yesterday it needed 6 or 7 try's before it got going but then it runs fine. I will check out the sensor as I fitted the erg bypass a couple of weeks ago and it sounds as if this is the sensor that gets disconnected when doing that. I have had the HP pump serviced recently to try to overcome the starting problems but I reckon it is probably an injector but all pass the leakback test. The Guys who have been doing the work have put a monitor on the ODB-11 socket which will store anything that may come up unlike the ECU. so it will go back in on Monday to get downloaded and we shall see if there is anything to be done then.
